First really rainy day.. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm sitting in the little Waitomo Caves General Store/Cafe. I had breakfast here - French toast with carmelized bananas and bacon! Yummy. It just lightly rained this morning, so I thought I could spend my day here walking around the cave land. But it's turned very rainy. I'm just hanging out here at the cafe until it lightens up a bit.. Hopefully it will. I have to hang around town til my bus comes at 5:55. I could go back to my hostel and just hang out there probably, but that's about a km down the road, so maybe later.
For now, I'll keep reading. I started Tarzan yesterday. I should finish it today. It's been fun to read some of these adventure books while I'm out on my own adventure.
It's St. Patrick's Day - as I mentioned - and it is my parents' anniversary back home, and the St. Paddy's Day parade back in salt lake as well. Sad I missed it. I'll be there next year.
