Hanging out in Te Papa, per usual. I want to be outside, but I'm finally getting a taste of Windy Wellington, and I can't say I love it. It's sunny, and could be so nice and warm if it wasn't windy. Oh well, I gotta hang out on the beach for a little while this afternoon. Just sat on a bench at Oriental Bay and watched the wild waves and clouds creeping through.
Before that, I had gone to see the movie Life of Pi at the Embassy Theatre. It's the theatre where The Hobbit and LOTR 3 had their world premieres. It was a pretty swanky place. Big, comfy leather seats in the theatre. My movie wasn't in the main auditorium, so it was a smaller screen and theatre, but really nice. When I first walked in I was the only one there, so I was kinda hoping I would have the place to myself, but about four other people walked in before it started. I enjoyed the movie. It was in 3D, and it was a pretty visual experience. It just won Oscars for cinematography and best director and maybe there were some others.. But it was good! Glad I did that here. In such a cool theatre. And that's something I've always kinda wanted to do - go to a movie by myself - so now I've done it. I quite enjoyed it!
And before that, I actually went for a run this morning, up by the Cherians' house. There is a park across the street that has a track around it that is exactly 1 km, so I ran my 5 kms! Pretty proud of myself. It felt really good to run. I've been walking a ton here, but never working up a sweat, so that was rejuvenating.
And let's see.. I have my bus ticket and hostel booked for tomorrow! Time to move on.. Wellington has been amazing. But I have so many more places to go! Which reminds me- today is my one month mark, also 4 weeks. Time has flown by! March 6th already? Really?
