March 3 - 10:15 pm

Well my situation in Wellington could not be better. I'm going to stay with the Cheridan family for the rest of my time here. I'm planning on leaving Thursday for Tongariro. I was worried being so far from the city, but there's a bus real close that goes right into town. It will be wonderful having my own room for a few days. And wonderful people around. Ganesh was a former bishop, now over the YSA in the area, so we have had some good discussions on religion and Americans and politics and how they all kind of intertwine.
Today was fast Sunday. We went to church at 11 and then waited around until 3:30 to have a "break the fast" with the Samoan ward. I met some of the other young people in the ward. I'm going to the FHE tomorrow. Getting more involved here than in my ward back home. But church here was very nice. I enjoyed hearing the testimonies in the ward very much. Didn't end up leaving the ward building until about 5:30. Ganesh, trying to be Cupid I assume, asked one of the young guys to take me up to the Mt. Victoria lookout, because he had to get his kids home. I just went along with it, so I had a mini-date with one of Wellington's most eligible Mormon bachelors. Ha
The lookout was quite wonderful.
Back at the house I met Lindi, Ganesh's wife. Seattle native, high school English teacher, now studying to be a midwife, and really nice! Down to earth people. This should be fun.
